A good diet for dogs?
Both my dogs eat Chicken Soup for the Puppy’s Soul. My APBT is in perfect condition, not too thin and not too large and you can see his muscle definition. My little mutt? She’s 22lbs and overweight. They both get plenty of excersize and each eat 1 1/2 cups a day. Whats a good dog food to put her on that will get her to drop the excess weight?
Who said anything about treats man?

I could be feeding her too much. They free feed (I know that can be bad but its not for them) theres always alteast half a cup left over the next morning so I know she isnt gorging herself on the food. And they play and run all the time, go for walks, etc etc.
I have recently got one of my Golden’s weight down by cutting her daily ration by one third. After one month she has lost 6 lbs and is looking much better for it. She is 9 years old and is now running around like a two year old because she is not carrying all that excess weight.
