Are these really good cat food ingredients??? plz help!?

this is the dry food ingredients:
Chicken, Chicken meal, cracked barley, chicken fat, ocean fish meal, white rice, potatoes, oatmeal, millet, natural chicken flavor, salmon, turkey, duck, flaxseed, egg product … etc

theres a lot more those are just the main ones

And this is the wet food:
chicken, chicken liver, salmon, turkey,duck, chicken broth,whole grain brown rice,white rice, oatmeal, potatoes barley, egg product, guar gum (what is that by the way????),flaxseed meal, kelp, carrots, peas, apples, dried skim milk, parsley etc…

is that a good diet for a 7-ish pound 7 year-old cat if i give about a 4th a can of the wet food a day and a constant bowl of dry food?

It’s best to feed wet but yes, this is a pretty good food to feed your kitty! Wet is actually healthiest for cats. The reason is, in the wild, cats normally get most of their water content directly from their prey items and drink very little. Domestic cats are no different, and because of the fact that they are designed to take in water with their meal, they have a very low thirst drive. Cats often just don’t drink enough. This leads to urinary tract infections and crystals. The bit about dry food being better for teeth is a myth and has not been proven in the least. Canned/wet food is better because it more closely mimics the cat’s natural diet. More on why canned food is best:
