I think you mean udon. Did you know there was a movie last year called Udon? It is the story of a man who returns to his hometown in rural Japan after being away in the big city. He decides to devote his life to creating the best udon in Japan as a means of getting back in touch with his roots, his family, and of course in a Japanese cinematic sentimental way, the true “Japan”.
