Soul Food Art
Does anyone else think this?
For a long time I’ve had the belief that just as your body needs nourishment through food, so does your soul. In a religious sense, yes, but in another sense as well. Like, I’ve always kinda believed that you need to have some beauty in your life on a regular basis, particularly music. And for me I’ve always thought classical, but that may be just because I love it so much. As my piano teacher puts it, “Classical’s your meat and potatoes. Everything else is dessert–it’s nice, but it’s just empty calories.” But I guess for other people other kinds of music could be their meat and potatoes, I guess.
Anyway, I’ve always felt that if you don’t feed your soul at least, I don’t know, weekly? through literature, or music, or art, or a sunset, or something, it’ll get hungry and eventually starve. Does anyone else share this belief with me? 
My passion in life has always been making hand made hardwood furniture that and i was lucky enough to turn this into a Business, my second passion was making specialist stair cases with hand turned spindles in all sorts of Designs, so yes i believe in feeding my soul by making beautiful things that i enjoyed making for for others to admire, when i retired i took up oil and water Colour painting, photography history, travelling, reading, concerts ant live theatre so you see i feed my soul with beautiful experiences and i also rediscovered the love of God, and i now live my life like every day may be my last?
